Congrats to Casey for a great win...
It's shame the riders weren't more bunched up though.

on the other hand rossi was able to over take him couple of times even with a slower machine
Yeah, work hard for 3/4 of a lap and pass Stoner only to watch it dissappear down the straight ,then start again at turn one.
Things will be different in the tight circuits though, commentators reckon the Yamaha has a sweet chasis.

Its just up the road from my hometown - Newcastle. Kurri is already famous Pete - thats where the Stauffer brothers are from !

Kev Curtain is also a local Newcastle boy, and last but not least, Jen Hawkins is also from the Hunter Valley..........mmmmm Hawko mmmmm

I think some of you might be missing something here. Yes the Duke was faster on the straights. But that Yamaha out-handled the Duke for sure, particularly the way the front can be pushed so hard under brakes without tucking.
I think Casey rode a smarter race than Rossi, obviously saving himself and his tyres for the end of the race, just like Rossi likes to do. He has come of age, and this was not an out of character race for him. I predict that he will only get stronger from here. He will take it to Rossi and the others, and they will wonder WTF happened. He rode that race like a Champion, which I am sure is what he will become.
But I also agree that Rossi is still well in it, and an obvious contender for the crown.
This is going to be one hell of a year......

good on him..im a big Casey fan, glad to see him win, and it was a fair fight..he rode well, and beat the best rider of the last 7yrs or so (i still think doohans the best ever )...
he did wot needed to be done..no cheating, no dodgy antics...
Rossi will be back, tho its good to see him get beaten, it may be a different story on tighter tracks!!
