The was a similar idea in the Uk. They found some of the nice twisty hill roads, and painted speed warnings on the approach to tight bends.
Once a few people had skidded on the paint in the braking zone the paint was removed. Perhaps the gvt branch should be advised of the hazard they are casuing and be prepared for the resulting legal costs.
