Would I be correct in assuming that the $4.5 is against the full RRP of a new 6??? If so, just remember they are chucking some 6's out the door fairly cheap at the moment. At least $2k off and in some cases more. So that may mean a real $2.5 for the bike. So, what I am saying, is if it is against the RRP, then you would be $2k better off to sell it privaely for the $4.5 you think you can get for it, and haggle them down on the newie no trade-in involved. Otherwise, it's just robbing Peter to pay Paul.
If it's not against the RRP of the bike, but against the discounted selling price (assuming you have gotten a decent deal from someone and knocked at least $2k off the RRP, then I would run back down there to place a deposit waving my feckin credit card as fast as I could!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No the trade in price was against an already heavily discounted deal, not against RRP. BTW I've had a quote on GSXR6 at $13.6K on a cash basis (before talking trades) from 2 dealers ride away which is miles below RRP (, and on a K7. Ministress of finance has ruled out the credit card...

G'day mate, seeing as how your asking, yep I think your price is too high
I advertised my 04 zzr250 over a year ago, priced in the high $5's and didn't get one single bite, the bloody thing was a mint one owner with under 16000 on the clock, a set of Megacycle pipes, rack, 11 months Reg and only 12months old.
Finished up trading it for under $4000.
Good luck with it .. have you tried throwing it on Netrider, there always seems to be a lot of newbie bike seekers on there.
