hey collette,
just ring and get your bike added to your e-tag. if you get an extra mounting bracket you can put it at the base of your windscreen and it works fine. I have a bag of baloons at home, when it is wet i just put the tag in a baloon and cut off the opening part and then lock it on the bracket. PS when did you get the new bike? very nice

Now thinking about this purely scientifically, the angle at which the cameras on the M4 are mounted only offers the camera a small window of opportunity. One would think that if you could manage enough speed through the toll gates, one might be out of the camera range when it eventually takes the pic????? Some one wanna try it??? I reckon 200+ would work!

Thanks Julian :) The e-tag I have is through the RTA and they don't have that feature, according to them. I just applied for the Roam E-pass account (bike rego only).

I got my bike about 2 months ago now, it was all discussed in the "Black is beautiful" thread in "Got a ride to show off" :D

i put both the bike and car rego numbers down on the etag system when i applied online. just ticked the "car" box when i put it on the system. Never got a complaint by the system. :)

Hi Colette, I did the same with my etag, just rang the rta and added the bike to my car tag, I never carry the tag on the bike for the m7/m2/tunnel though I have started carrying it for the bridge now I commute daily. If the camera does work, they add the toll to your account, if not, then its a freebie.

I just got the letter for using the M7 without the tag. I run the e-tag on the M4 and M5 using the numberplate recognition, but after phoning the M7 operators the plate recognition system is not available on the M7 as they are on the Roam not E-tag as per the M4 and 5. They even advised that they will take a photo of the plate but it can't allways be read therefore they will not send anything.

Since it has been open have only received 2 notices (both from the same day)
