I was with Arista for the last 2 years (they do an old farts package) but since I went soft & got the "Lo-lux" Shannons were cheaper with their Weekend Warrior policy. So I quoted that price to QBE & they beat it by $90 :D
So QBE it is for me.

AAMI only have a Rating 5 & 6 for bikes......I'm a 5 so I'm lead to believe. The car I have a much better rating though :)

That was the best quote I received when shopping around for my 2006 Suzuki GSXR600, WQBE came in second and would match the quote from AAMI but they wanted me to complete a 5 page document with my name, address etc- the same details I gave them verbally so I couldn't see the point in wasting my time. I thought if this is all the paperwork they make you fill out when you take out a policy imagine what you need to fill out should you need to make a claim!!

i turned 25 and changed to shannons just after my birthday.

its $380 per year and u dont pay extra for pay by month(suncorp was 15% i think) its an old bike buts it still was the best deal around. i asked suncorp to match it as i already had a policy with them and they said no way they could.

I'd be more than happy with that! :D

Shannons couldn't insure me cause I use the bike daily and have only had my bike licence for 2 years

there was a blanket price rise a few months back i believe??

i thought arista only covered over 30's??

some companies only cover certain ppl/bikes.... they wont cover cat4 sportsbikes, or over 750cc or whatever...crock of shit really...

im currently with Famous Classic Cars... but they dont take on bikes no more...and when/if i ever need a claim there could be drama ...altho Plas was with them when he crashed his 04 and he got a new bike....quickly...

check the fine print guys...

I'm over 25, on rating 4 with SWANN.

 QBE wanted 2 times more than SWANN
 SHANNONS wanted 4 times more than SWANN!
 RACQ only insure some bikes.
 Can't get bike quote by walking in to a SUNCORP branch, have to ring them.

If suncorp are GIO they were reasonably priced for a 23 yr old on a 99 ZX7.

Might be worth a look
