It may have been originally, but you reckon you're too busy this week??????? Whats that story Rory?????? :D

Yeah Rode the 9. I must say, I thought it was going to be a lot more uncomfortable than what it was. The tank bag made this a bit awkward to start with. It took me 100 klms or so to sort out a comfy posy!! Once sorted though it was mint. With my chest and chin resting on the tank bag, I could have fallen asleep I was that comfy!! (Don't laugh, I've fe`kin well done that before too  )

My right wrist got a tad uncomfortable for the about an hour or two in the slow middle part of the journey, but once up and running at a reasonable clip, the required alertness ensured I didn't sit in one position for long enough to get uncomfy again.

Fuel while on a mostly steady throttle (160 is still steady yeah?) it sipped fule at an incredibly low rate. I gestimate less than 6 litres per 100 klms. I hit reserve just as i got to the apartment in Parramatta this arvo, and I had 270 klms on it when I switched it over. So not bad at all. If I hadn't belted it, it would have been good for over 330-350 klms.

Tyres appeared to hold up well. i didn't bother putting any additional pressure in the tyres. And they wore well. the front is looking a little average. It may not make it to the end of the rears life !! Pity as I wanted to try and change them as a set each time. But I did 3000klms on the front one before putting the M3 on the rear. :)

Phil the plan at this stage is to leave Sydney friday after work. I am going to have to sort another bag somehow too! I will ring the shop I bought it from in the morning and explain the situation to see if there is something they can do up here for me. Maybe the Ventura Distributor is in Sydney with any luck? Anyone know who distributes them? (Ventura)

I may post some belonging back to ligthen the load also. Especially if I am to be keeping up with the likes of you, Mick or Gos!!! Cause I bet they won't have work and social gear for a week with em!!!

Surprisingly, the 9 was awesomely comfortable even on the boring straight hume Hwy. :)

The 9 has similiar geometry to 00-02 zx6r isn't it ? How is it compared to your 2005 zx6r strika? Much better or only a little better ?

The 636 was plenty comfortable.........for a race bike with lights and indicators!!!

The 9 is a veritable lounge chair in comparison!! :D

apples to oranges i kno, but the 929 is suprisingly comfy on long trips too... much nicer than say an R1 or a gixxer... so with that nice wide tank, and big plush seat, id expect the zx9r to be good for a couple of long boosts...
