Id say fix it, but then again if that option goes to shit, you could sell it for a few hunnid to a wrecker.

thats what i'd do to minimise my losses if in that situation.

Mick - Diesel is right.

My mate who built up that XS650 flatracker made money....

XS650 cost $900 as a complete running bike in good nick.

Sold all bits *except* engine, frame, suspension, wheels, brakes

for slightly less than $1400 bucks  :P

Now a ZZR is no XS650 (with the cult following that it has), but I reckon you would be surprised at what you could make from your ZZR as a whole pile of *parts* instead of a complete *shitter*....

Depends on how quick you need the ca$h.....

Is there anything on the bike that is good  and as gos said xs 650 is a cult bike and people will pay for even average parts an old zzr is probably not going to attract a heap of attension. If moneys an issue take your time find a good motor.

personally id give up on it, find out what u will get off a wrecker or sumthin for a parts bikeor throw it up on ebay and see if u get any interest...

$1500 to spend on it is a deposit on a new/er bike...if u spent $1500 on it, then want to sell it, u have to get $2k plus to make it viable , whereas selling it for $500 saves u time and labour..if u get where im coming from...

Slapped a bid on the Ebay motor, then probably take some time and rebuild my current motor, that's the plan of attack at the minute, just not loking to go into further debt right now so that's prertty much the easiest way to get the bastard back on the road quickly and relatively cheaply, that is unelss of course you wat to dontate yur motor Karen :D
