Less tax payer funded fuel guzzling v8 hoon cars.
More:
Fuel and Environment saving/friendly vehicles.
Single cost saving blue/white stripe on factory Toyota paint, 3 *POLICE* vinyls, single cost saving oversized antenna, standard police lights on roof and bling bright blue headlight bulbs.
Honda also make a nice little concept electric engine bike, perfect for the motorycle officers.
Every police car changed to Toyota Prius, each km spent in the police car no longer is as big a cost to tax payers, the more km's the cars do the more they pay for themselves in fuel savings.
Win Win for all.

except, they wont be able to catch anyone in a real car/bike. and if the day ever came where your family was being held at knife point and your house was being raided, or something else equally as terrible,
They'd get there eventually, saved money on the fuel though

Not really,
They do 106mph top speed so about 170kph which is fast enough.
0-60km/h in 4 seconds.
Just starts to slow down when the petrol engine kicks in.

I saw a Mitsubishi 380 police car the other day, in the normal colour scheme - but I had no idea they used them.

Win Win for all.
I'm all for Hybrid cars...
I just wish they'd release something that didn't look like it was designed for nun's...

If one idiot sees it - slows down and DOESNT hit a child crossing the road, its probably worth the money for the paint.

Already in practice,
Another alternative already in practice,

l think it's considerate that ECILOP is written on the bonnet like that, so when they are doing you in the arse, you can see in your mirror who is doing it to you. Next change to come is the ECIFFO XAT.

thats what happens when women take charge.
instead of combatting the real problem, they make cars look pretty.
