Probably want to avoid that.

Labouring the engine is probably worse than revving it a little more than what the book reccomends.

I just rode mine close to how I was going to after the break-in period was finished, but didn't go over 8 - 10k odd RPM.

Yeah, but you dont want to load it up too much. 6th is an "overdrive" type gear for highway cruising. Wack it in 5th and see how you go :D

Fair enough, I guess we all hear different :)

The way I was told was to run it through the rev range, but don't labour the engine (by labour I mean 6th gear doing < 100kph)

But good luck to you ey and enjoy your new toy :D

PS - Get to a track day if you dudes have one down there, they're ace!

lol its pulls so hard in 6th anyway, plus i don't want to OVER rev teh motor so thats y i sit in 6ths on the highways.

I think wat u mean axza is don't sit in 6ths on the highway on 1 amount of revs.

wt i am doing is speeding up and slowing down, so load it up, then take it away this way the revs vary they go up and down.
i am just varying the rev ranges heaps everywhere i ride!
