Not sure if it's the same in WA, but in VIC they test everything at 25kmph. If you're below 20 and above 30, they take off points. Pretty cruisey!

Then as long as some of its the slow stuff you'll be fine! A technical tip that these forums members helped me out with when I was getting my p's last year:

When doing the figure 8 test, if you're having trouble turning sharply at such low speeds (and worrying if it will stall all at the same time!), use the back brake.

Using the back brake on that test helped me heaps...I haven't described it well how it helps, but get out there and test it and hopefully it'll make a difference. It just seemed to steady me more.

Good luck!

Slow speed = Clutch and back brake, does the job.
I did mine about 10+ years ago on an XR250. That made life a lot easier,
let me tell yah. You can throw a trail bike around a lot easier than a
road bike.
As the others said, take it easy and don't be to cocky. It's not a race
and good riders can fail by dropping their bikes, whilst total hacks,
that can't ride pass. Remember these places are run by riders themselves
and are there to prepare you for the road. A lot of instructors did
their licences, when we were temporary Australian's. Given a license
with no training, sent out on the road to learn by yourself.

Rob

Oh yeh, when they pass you, don't do a wheelie. Apperently they can fail
you for that too. :-) Hehehe

but you're allowed to do a stoppie in the emergency braking :D

figure 8's eh ? sounds harder than what you have to do in vic.

Nah it's the same. It's that corner exercise where you have to stay between the lines doing a 90degree turn. You have to do it on the right, then on the left. You continue out of the RH corner and turn back around to switch to the LH corner (which is where the figure 8 comes in).

He kinda does look like a monkey now you mention it Neka. I second using the break thing and always looking where you are going. Q-Ride is all slow speed stuff. You need to be able to do 10m I think it is in over 15 seconds or something, 6 figure of 8's in over 50 seconds but not over 70 seconds, 40km/h emercency braking and 60km/h emergency braking. Slalom with hitting the witches hats, obstacle avoidence and then all the other stuff; leading a group, u-turns, couldersacks, apexing, high speed cornering etc etc.

It's all kitty litter, you'll be fine, just make sure you are ready for it :D

Alright you lot....Once and for all....VAL DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A MONKEY. Having been on several (Victorian) group rides, I must point out that Val is better looking than anyone I've met from KSRC (of course I haven't met Neka yet....). Please see below for proof.

P.S. Note the last pic of Val - I've never seen a monkey do that!!!
