And is you want to sponsor something Australia and close to your heart.
You can always sponsor the 4B's
We visit injured riders, take them magazines, claim forms, put them in contact with our lawyers, put them in contact with other injured riders for support if needed. We collect jars for flowers in hospitals they never have enough (Mick donates to us)
One day (soon) i hope to be able to offer injured riders care packs, magazine, savers, toothbrush, comb etc a complete pack for a hospital stay.
After that donate to the hospitals/wards that hold our injured riders.
After all we all know someone who has come off
Want more info just ask.
On a side note a blog by a mate of ours who was run over by a semi.
5 months and he is still in hospital

Found the key in the LHS pocket of my bike jacket, kinda got buried under a snot rag. In regards to sponsoring people in Australia frog, am kind of inclined to agree with you but at the smae time we are a wealthy and politically stable country so our Gov't should be able to look after them really.
If I was to sponsor a child in Australia it would be an Aboriginal kid simply because the Aboriginals in Australia are being screwed royally IMO.

Well done on donating Plasma Mick, I do the same here in Adelaide.....so between us we should have killed off every poor bugger who needed it in the southern half of the country

Mick thats a loaded statement that i'm not going to comment on .... but if you look around you there are a million kids that have major problems .... some poverty but more abuse and alike to which "our government" ( i use the term lightly) turn a blind eye till it can win votes.
but thats my opinion only

Hrm i for one wouldn't sponsor an Aboriginal child/family.
Going back 15years ago
(yes SOME of it has changed, I have word from Aunty who still lives there, that a few pubs have gone, but it's still the same)
When visiting Alice, they would que up at the bank, get there money and head straight to the pub. And yes they get more then an other so called "white man"
Babies left in the street, kids running over the road into traffic.
Parents sniffing petrol, cans whatever they could.
Setting fire to what ever they could find.
These are the same people who had govenment housing and trashed it.
Pulling up there floorboards in there house, and creating fires in the dried up river beds.
Im not saying they are/were not treated badly, but i also think they do treat themselfs badly.
Anyone of us could spend our money at the pub all day long, we would only have ourselfs to balme. They blame the govenment.
Either way, dollars can only change so much.
respect can change alot.

Well good on you Mick for being one of the tiny minority who give blood on a regular basis.
Evevryone who can should give blood, you never know when you may need it. Especially as blood stocks are critical atm.

Unfortunatley with a democratic society it basically comes down to what will give me the most votes as to where money is spent, no argument from me there Lucas and no argument that there are "white" kids in need of a handout as bad as some aboriginals and also that the city living aboriginals by and large do their race no favours at all, that's not going to change in my lifetime I suspect.
There was some smart bloke once that said something along the lines of "Democracy is not a perfect form of Government, it's just better than all the other options" (or something ike that).
