Man, I was with Suncorp and they were great with my last bike...

But they won't insure me in Sydney

I'm now with Shannon's who have a nice looking Kwaka on their TV ads at the moment

Not sure. I've gone from commuting on the ZX6 to riding it once a month or so.

Not that I'm aware of. They're traditionally a niche underwriter and that's why they're able to be so competitive.

The will only do the super-low-km bikes that are garaged 95% of the time. Their exposure is lower resultant and therefore they can offer lower prices.

when I bought the 12 heard that Western QBE would undercut any wrtitten quote so got in touch and they wanted $900 for full comprehensive and I mentioned that I had a written quote from Arista for $526 covering my last bike for $10,000 so they gave me coverage for $14,000 for $500.
Yes I am an old guy well over 40 and yes it is garaged, and they also put the 8,000 klms a year limit on but as mentioned did not ask for or record any milage so how would they know what I do.

very happy jan :D

Mate i have the same bike, purchased new March 2004 (stored in some wharehouse for 2 years) agreed value 16.5k (accessories inc) carported with a guard dog, unlimited kms including daily comute, with Arista for $680 a year. I've riden 44ooo ks in under 2 years so i needed comp insurance for sure :D
I bet it goes up a whack in March when i go to reinsure though.

Yeah i'm with Shannon's too. $527 / year.

When i spoke to them in August they said they were thinking of getting more involved in bike insurance. Looks like they've made that decision, Now they are advertising on the box, with Daryl Beattie doing the ads.
