Smitty said "they never touched down (toes) at any time "

On the road my toes (hanging down a bit) are the first indicator to pull the head in a bit. It is (I am guessing) about 5 degrees less than pegs.
When I pillioned Lainie I just hung my toes down a bit further to give me a bit extra "safety".
On track if my toes are dragging (boot sideways on peg now) then my knee CAN be too, so it is time to act like a old hooker and spread em wide as there is a lot more "feel" in my knee and somehow I dont think I could save a low-side on my toe (or knee either I guess  ).
If my pegs hit I either clipped a ripple or it is time to go home before I bin it. As you pointed out pegs are CLOSELY (1 degree?) followed by the wings, and if they unload the front wheel, the side of the fairings and your helmet...
Wonder how Crazy Rick is going ??

Ive gone home to look at my old Gaernes (green of course!!)
Damn I forgot how good my old 7 was, the sliders near the TOP of the boot are ground down...
I went and looked at my old trackday pics and sure enuf the whole side of my leg is on the ground. (the pics are on here somewhre)
NO great rider skill, just that the angles conspired so that when my knee was down the outside of my legs would be parallel to the ground.
The angles on the 12 are different so I will be keeping this boot at least when they are stuffed...

Also if you are a boot dragger, build them up (where they slide) with Plastibond type 2 part plastic stuff... (technical eh?)
If you are real keen you can even impregnate the stuff with old bits of tit to make them spark up nice.
I wouldnt do this with nice SHINEY boots but track boots? Hey if I can get another couple of uses...

My boots look like this!

Purty huh??

Note the unpristine and decidedly used state of em.

Every plastic bit has rash

No ankle injuries yet.....

...and Gay Ernie that went with Green Texposts and Green 7

These ARE still great to walk in but I lost the spare toe sliders and its too late now. They are still around and V cheap now and are no where near as nice as the Oxtars pictured. I think I paid $300 years ago on special cause they were green.
The real reason I posted but is the scuffing I was talking about above.
This is not from falling off (although they copped that too) it is from the side of the boot on the ground (laying your foot sideways on the peg)
Gotta love a 7 eh Hemi ??
