Geez Mate , 183kph on a GPX250

Laying flat on the tank of a ZZR250 was lucky to see the needle just creep past 160 and Im sure most speedo's read a bit high .
Dunno how you can get your bike tested but sounds like it might be well worth trying .
You are not running NOS or a turbo are ya ???

This is heavy! Thanks for posting up your experience there mate, definately thought that your excuse could have been a loophole for getting off but if I'm ever nailed at such a speed... [
I was briefly doing 200 on the SE freeway yesterday
] I will make damn sure I don't stop to answer any questions.

Shit mate that's harsh. There's bloody real crims walking around with lesser potential penalties than that.
Get some hard evidence on what the bike will do and perhaps appeal mate, although 180 v 160 may be a little academic. You never know though, if you can discredit the cops evidence it may help you.
Good luck with it

Well the burden of proof is on the copper so he has to be able to *prove* the facts of the case and if all the evidence and documentation he has so far given states that you were doing a speed of 183km/h when in fact, that speed is totally unattainble by the bike - then it's likely that every scrap of evidence the policeman has so far produced is worth nothing at all and the charge may be dropped altogether ... unless you've already said something to incriminate yourself

Im going to give my soliciter a call today and see what he thinks, if he thinks its worth a shot, how would i go about proving that the GPX is bot capable of that speed?
*** update***
Got a phone from the people who organise home detention (option instead of goal) Because im a bartender and woerk at a licenced area im not elegable for home home detention so my only option at the moment is to appeal the Goal term and get facts and proof my bike cant go that fast.... im in some searious hot water here, id do the 2years without a licence but im going to fight it all i can keep myself out of Goal...
Any advice would be great guys, i need al the help i can get to stay a free man

GPX250 probably is capable of 183kmph, down hill, with a downwind
