You must have come across one of those very rare inconsiderate truckies ... No... I know what you are saying, if there is a wide shoulder, he could have moved left and let the traffic pass without slowing down himself...... trouble is truckies spend a lot of time on the road and cop a lot of shit from other motorists, so a lot of truckies have lost their compassion for other motorists.........

One of very many stories...
I was heading into Toowoomba from outback QLD a few years back and this woman in a commodore was sitting constantly on 90 in a 100 zone. I would sit behind her and then pull out when an overtaking lane became available and sit on my limited 102. When I got next to her she would speed up to 110 and pull back in front of me before the end of the overtaking lane... Then resume her 90kph again. She did this five times over many many klms.... This pissed me off and all the other vehicles behind that couldn't pass either of us... So I tailgated the bitch until she pulled up to let me pass.... But I also pulled up and asked her WTF she was playing at.... She said she didn't want to get stuck behind a slow truck

I rode to Port Douglas and back on my ER6 recently- 1800km each way. The hardest thing about the trip was not the fatigue of the distance, but rather the fatique of trying to stay at or below the limit. Several VERY sneaky speed cams on the way. Stuck pretty close to the limit most of the way with the exception of the marlborough straights where we sat a bit above the 110km limit. Shoulda took my GT coz it sits on the limit easier.

I've heard that argument before. Workmate was doing a longish trip along freeways and was getting bored but just following the road. As his bike was so quiet and smooth he only realised he was at the limit +30 when he glanced at the speedo & immediately buttoned off. It's too easy to do unfortunately,
