Before wacko Jacko and Prince, even before Jackson 5 was around I think there was these cool cats called Boney M I use to hear these 2 songs everyday in the mid~late 70's on the school bus on the long trip too and from Leongatha Tech. Although our peer group was always into ackadakka, angels, JJ Cale, CCR, Melencamp, Thorpy, Brian Cadd and the other usuals etc these tunes stuck in my head even until today because being in the sticks you only get one good radio station other than the ABC and they played them over and over
If you were rich enough as a kid too have had a tape recorder to record direct from the radio speakers and the patience to wait for the song you wanted, finger at the ready to hit the record button (which you often missed the start of the song) you could get a few latest tunes to share with your mates.. Brings back great memories of youth and embarrassing trends
*edit* already posted sorry about that.
JJ CALES song "cocaine" was a very popular song at the wild "up in the back hills" party's where I grew up and also has many good memories attached to it.
After midnight with Eric Clapton

I was Only 19 - TJ Dedication
This song was originally called "a walk in the light green". When the patrol orders were handed out they preffered the "dark green" as it was thick jungle with heaps of cover and no mines. Light green was no jungle, no cover and lots of mines........
