Just a question. When respraying the fairing, does one need to buy new sticker decals?
I need some "work" done on right side of the fairing

in just about all cases..yes
the panel is repaired and resprayed without the sticker (its taken off)
the sticker is put on and the panel 'finished' in cleared or as its
known 'keyed' to the paint
why?
its very difficult to mask and repair around the sticker
hth
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!
I hate to tell you this JavaMan but our bikes are particularly $$$ to repair. That flashy Jap Sun design is made up of a combination of stickers and paints, the stickers are not cheap either. Mine cost me about $500 to do one side and that was 'on the cheap'.javaman wrote:Just a question. When respraying the fairing, does one need to buy new sticker decals?
