Had my coils crap out recently. Never thought of this. I fitted ZZR1200 coils to my ZRX. One lead is a bit short and one a bit long but they work. 
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R Yeah I like Kawasakis.

I think it is an excellent mod.
Based on how the REX now goes (it was already good, but now even better), I am doing the same to the ZZR.

I sold my ZRX1200 not too long ago, but removed the stick coil setup.
Stick coils and harness are now for sale, asking $75.
They will also fit the ZZR1200, or even the ZZR1100.
