BLOODY Exciting times in the motorbike world, especially for us Kawasaki-mad types. 300HP Supercharged in that package, more power than a MotoGP bike from Kawasaki, available to the general public. Bloody hell, the mind boggles. Even being conservative the H2 road could be 220HP and reasonable price? How quickly will the technology filter down through their models? In a few years time we might have 180kg 200HP 6's? Supercharged 300's? Don't particularly care about the details and exactly what DOES end up happening, but I think it's awesome and something to be excited and positive about. Go KHI!

Exciting times indeed Tim. No need to talk about belly pans and race rules. If the engineering alone doesn't do it for you, if the thought of 300hp doesn't do it for you, just give up and by a Camry.

Sure its impractical and may be the CX500 Turbo gimmick bike of 2015, but I'm glad someone is pushing the boundaries and making one.

Absolutely agree. This sort of shit is awesome. It's been forever since something like this has come along, hopefully it's a game changer because litre superbikes have become a bit boring I think. Nothing much massively significant has really changed since Suzuki put the GSXR1100 out in 1985. It's strange but when you look at big changes in motorcycles it's the two smaller factories ie Suzuki and Kawasaki that hit the spot eg Original Z's, big Two strokes, the waterbottle, the Katana, the Turbo's, the GSXR's and now this.

.....oh and of course the Gentlemans express

I think the most recent game changer was BMW's S1000RR (which was followed closely and improved on by the current ZX10R). The last great leap in performance was the introduction of traction control and I don't know if I would call a modern bike, with 180HP and traction control, boring.

Boring in the sense that they're all much the same. Yeah they've tweaked them with traction control etc but I think that's just made them all more Vanilla flavoured. The Crim when it came out was pretty exciting for Kawasaki fans but all the 10's since haven't really generated the same level of excitement, the latest possibly an exception. The H2 sounds like it's going to be ridiculously stupider than anything for years, much the same as the GXR1100 was when it was released and I think that makes it special.

To me I don't think since the original 900 has there been so much said about something so out there, the others in no particular order IMO 750 MachIV, GS1000S first Jap "racer replica" and jap bike that handled, Ducati 750SS and 916, GSXR 750 and 1100, Katana, first R1, CB1100R the first true superbike for the road and track, GPZ900R, ZX750R, first Fireblade, RC30, BMW R90S

but suspension doesnt make loud noises or show big numbers on a dyno...

it also isnt the main play toy of sportsbikes... its also on tourers and dual purpose bikes... everyone loves a big engine
