Buying a GPZ 1100

Post by RustyAs »

In have an opportunity to buy a GPZ 1100 for what seems to be a reasonable price. :?
1995 model, 30K klms . Owners says it's is great condition mechanically
The fairing has a few cracks, but son inlaw can sort that. ;) I'm just going to use it to commute to work each day
Are there any mechanical issues or other problems I should look for?

Thanks in advance for the advice :kuda:

Mate of a mate up here just bought a 93 model (D model) ZZR1100 for $1500 recently. Two owner and tidy. GPZ1100 aren't half as good. (I am talking about the 90s model watercooled with the bluey/greenish colour) I like them, but not half as much as the ZZR. Test rode a 1100 when I owned my GPZ900R and couldn't believe how much better the 9 was.
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.
