As much as I'd like to claim it was skill, it was luck. When the mongrel changed direction right into me I had just enough time to envision doing my best superman impression before hitting him. The impact shoved the bike sideways, but the bars didn't get lively or anything. After the impact I thought to myself "wow I'm still on the bike". Still in a state of amazement I'd got of injury free I pulled over. Well almost injury free. My fingers were sore where they were crushed by the clutch lever. It happened on Mamre Rd. at Kemps Creek.
Real bravery is being afraid but doing it anyway.
