Water and Fuel, not a good mix
Ok so the son washed the bike and did a awesome job, then open the fuel cap only to have water gush in....any ideas?
Will it cause any problems as there wasn't much maybe 100mls max?
I was going to drain the tank (about half full+water) or any other ideas on a fix?

Water goes to the bottom I think?
So drain it using the pump, you should get it all out without a drama.

Re: Water and Fuel, not a good mix
Just take the fuel line off the bottom of the tank, put a rubber hose on it.
Then turn your key on and it will prime into the rubber hose.
Put it in a bottle and look for the water

100mls ? You sure ? if it was just a bit of backwash from around the cap area, would be lucky to be half that I reckon. Don't bother with draining the tank or any of that palaver - just bung in 1/2 a cup of metho. This will fix the issue no probsBurky wrote:.....Ok so the son washed the bike and did a awesome job, then open the fuel cap only to have water gush in....any ideas?
