Wanna race? (Vic.)
We did the same thing last year & it was a fantastic day but for whatever reason not many people have put their hands up for this year so its open to the public now.
It's a very relaxed day with none of the current Nanny/Police State type bullshit, you just turn up, pay your money, get your bike looked at (basic scrutineering to make sure nuthins gunna fall off), line up & when the light goes green, FANG THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF YOUR MOTORCYCLE for a quarter of a mile.... rinse & repeat.
I did at least 20 runs last year & it was great to have a hoon & chuck a few skids & whoolies without having to plan an escape route in advance.
As mentioned it's a really laid back vibe, you can grudge race your mate/neighbor/brother/accountant/whoever to finally prove who's faster & it's great for roadracers to practice their starts.
There's a Shootout competition in the evening, we're camping there on the Satdy night & a Test & Tune on the Sundy if you need MORE tracktime.
There are only 2 rules -
NO BYO & NO GLASS.
Anyway, here's a link to the topic on ASF if anyone's keen.

sounds like fun. have u done this before? had a read of their site u put up.
do u know how long, or late to be able to get onboard? interested, but dont know if bike will be back in time.
allways been tempted to do a test and tune day up there.
been 30 odd years since i put a bike in a stage lane, so would a tad/ very rusty

TBH I wouldn't pay $130 to ride in a straight line and I wouldn't pay $40 to watch people riding in a straight line.

Thanks for being unnecessarily negative about something you know nothing about Dickhead - very clever.photomike666 wrote:TBH I wouldn't pay $130 to ride in a straight line and I wouldn't pay $40 to watch people riding in a straight line.

Re: Wanna race? (Vic.)
spoke to mech, bike should/will be ready.
so will try to get up there, been thinking of giving it run for sometime, something different is allways good.
not worried bout cost, i do understand the costs to run these events.

Hey, I was just honest about how I saw the pricing. Doesn't call for an insult

Re: Wanna race? (Vic.)
It is a forum. So you kinda have to expect comments
Drag racing isn't my thing either, I've been a few times, juts to see what a bike will do and practice starts.
I think wicked Wednesdays here is Syd are $50.
But you wouldn't get 12 runs in. More like 4-5
And you have to sit and watch all the knuckle draggers topping up their oil and checking the fuel.
