If you just want something cool in the shed that might appreciate over time then that's fine though but don't count on it appreciating at an acceptable rate.
Not if you paid $1300 for one ;)

True you may not make much money from a bike (unless you have a Vincent Black Shadow in your shed)
Johnnyflash is on the mark with his entries, i would add the Ducati 999R as it will appreciate, just a bit ahead of it's time , aswell as the early 'first model' Japanese bikes i.e original R1 (in red and white), first model GSX-R (750 and 1000), Honda SP1 or Aprillia RS250, rarity original condition and low kms

they are now worth over $25K  300% increase over 8 years is pretty good in my book

When i was 18 i had a choice suzuki gs 1000E or a ducati 900ss,they were both $3500.00 brand new back then. The story ends bought the suzuki smashed into a car had it repaired, then traded it in for a honda 750 chopper.MMMMMM oh well who really has forethought at 18 years old ;)

Anything is only worth what someone is willing to hand over cash for.
I don’t care how liberated this world becomes – a man will always be judged by the amount of alcohol he can consume – and a woman will be impressed, whether she likes it or not.
