How was your dad's day?

Post by SNAFU »

How was your fathers day?

I hope you all had a great day. Mine started this morning with a phone call from all my kids wishing me a beaut fathers day.

This was followed by a bacon, egg & mushrooms on toast then Shirena & I off on a short trip to Bothwell were she had booked us in for a tour, tasting and lunch at the Nant Whiskey distillery.

There are 3 main whiskey makers in Tassie and this is one of the better ones. They are currently looking at producing a single malt Tasmanian scotch shortly. The day was fantastic, a beaut Tassie sunny warm spring day with good company, great food and of course fine Tassie whiskey.

If any of you are thinking of a trip to Tassie then a visit to the Nant distillery is well worth it.

I hope all the dads had a great day and please spare a thought for all the dads that could not be with their kids today.

Awesome trip!

Originally I had planned a short solo ride to clear the cobwebs, followed by time on the lounge doing sweet FA. Instead, I hopped on a train and took my 3yo boy down to the Sydney Museum to see the dinosaurs. It was very cool to see him freaking out over how big they are, when he was expecting them to be toy sized. Made my day.

Yeah awesome...... Even though I'm crook, I made an effort, got up early and cooked my old man French toast with bacon and maple syrup. He took off early and didn't eat it. Then I sat by the phone waiting for my three kids to call...........................fargin crickets!

Awesome day, eggs and bacon breakfast followed by a 45 minute drive to Port Fairy with wife and kids to play on the beach.
