Dropped my baby

Post by Andy2613 »

After waking up to the good news my young fella got accepted into a NSW Blues State of Origin Training camp my day then turned to shit. 1st I got an email from the owners of the house we rent telling us they're going to sell it & it'll be on the market soon, trying to get another rental in Scone is near imposible at the moment & the prices are nuts. So after that news I decided to give my bike a good wash, all was going well until I desided to start it up & run it down my street & back so to move it in front of my shed to polish her up (like I've done heaps of times) & that's when it happened, I just left my driveway headed left, started to take off & my rear just spun up & before I knew it I was watching my bike sliding down the road leaving an oil trail  & :x , I raced over to it shut down the engine before it was farked too. After standing it & checking the damage it wasn't too bad, broken alternater- crankcase cover, bent crash nob on the swing arm & scratched up bar end, clutch lever & faring, & some road rash down my forearm. Now I'm on the hunt for a new cover & maybe some decals, I looked on fleebay & found some from China ( about $70 del) as always cheaper than anywhere else, but are they any good, if any of you guys know anything about them or where to get another one at a good price i'd be greatfull. I think next time I'll just push it to the shed.

Bugger mate... :(

(edit)... don't anyone who has bought one so quality is unknown.

Chinese shit is Chinese shit. The Chinese replacement parts are cheap crap, (thats why they are cheap). Sorry about your accident. Good luck on finding a place to rent.

Dropped my baby

Bad luck. It's never a good thing when a bike drops. Specially like that.

I did some research when I was looking for fairings. Quality is not the best that's why it's cheaper. Colour doesn't match and paint can fade if bike is out in the sun. Just look for some oem bits. You will find. I found cheap oem off a guy that converted his bike to track bike. Just have to be patient.
