Let me introduce my new toy hauler...

Post by laidback »

Well the suby has gone...replaced with the Flying Purple People Eater. 8)

Was going to call her the Purple Pig but even affectionately that may be a bit rude. ;)

After travelling to Winton with Robracer I was so impressed with his wheels that I decided to get one myself. Similarly mine starts as a 12 seater bus and will have most, if not all, the seats removed to allow space for 2 bikes...9s of course. 2.4TD with 5SP auto and gets along quite nicely for over 400k kms. She is a bit rough ATM but getting a new set of boots on Friday and being a Goodyear fan from way back these will be the Cargo G26 variety. Next will be to replace the struts/shocks with a good set...still researching.

Here's a couple of pics

Nice John, The fuel economy of mine on the PI trip was too good to overlook aye ;) 800 k's from 80 ltrs :D
Looks like you have the medium wheel base, so you will be able to leave one row of seats in and still fit two bikes and all your gear inside.

I put a carpeted timber floor and a couple of Kaneg Trailer mates in mine. Makes life easy...

Sweet. Combine that with your trailer and your bound to make money transporting peoples bikes to the next PI double header.......

While your giving it some new shoes, hows about you give it some new laces? Those hubcaps look a little..... :vom:

WTF...I luv those shiny plastic hub caps. Adds at least 1kph to top speed by smoothing the airflow over the wheel nuts... :kuda:
