Hi
I have just purchased a Z1000 and its about to tick over 1000km. I am happy to work on the bike myself but what needs to be done on the 1st service. Spoke to Kawasaki service dept and they said stick with mineral oil untill 6k km. What bolts need to be checked???? etc
Should I do it myself or should I just pay them to do it?????? I hate paying for stuf I can do myself.
Cheers

Re: 1000km service
You have to get a dealer/authorised mechanic to do it or you void your warrantystagea wrote:Hi

Yep as Disco stated, first service by dealer! Did you get the warranty transferred into your name when you bought her? If not make sure you get that done, could save you a lot of hassles later on if there is a warranty issue!

As you guys said they wont stand by thier warrenty if I do the oil........ annoying. Yeah will have to transfer the warrenty too. Also said to stick to mineral oil for the first 6k km......
