R-Date ending?

Post by vanrootn »

The date on my licence is 6/9/11... Does anyone know if I can go into transport sa on the 6th and get my plastic card changed or do I have to wait until the 7th?

Just found this so should be sweet :D

R-Date*

(*means the expiry date of the learner’s permit or the date falling one year after class R-Date was endorsed on the licence. It indicates the date on which the holder may apply for a class R licence.)

I have someone looking at my bike tomorrow and they seem keen, however i still need to get to work on tuesday

Not too sure about SA but NSW you cant. If you say, progress from P''s to full riders license you can only get the full upgrade on the day you went to P's from L's.
Otherwise the RTA will make you come back, even if the anniversary date on your riders test is prior to the day you turn up at the RTA.
I just went through the whole saga.

Just saw this.... as you found out, they can be a little flexible if needed. I've heard of people from the country getting it 2 days before, but I'd say that'd be rare.
