I know the general consensus on Lycra Lizards, however Congratuations to Cadel Evans on his OUTSTANDING and inspirational effort. Not official he hasn’t crossed the line.. but as Firery pointed out it’s just a Champagne ride... 8)

I couldn't sleep friday night so watched the second last stage...

To watch Evans have a bike problem then get close to the front again was awesome. To ride up hills (mountains) like those and not stop shows their level of fitness. .. and this was after several days of similar effort.

I have total respect for those guys. 8)

Agreed. Years of self sacrifice, determination and hard work. Got to admire that.

The BMC team isnt the strongest in the field but they helped drag him
back after the bike swap. Cadel and his team deserve every accolade as they have achieved beyond expectation. Similarly the Aussie Renshaw has dragged his team mate Cavendish to the green jersey and as a team they also are very dominant at their specialty!

Yep alot here dont like the lycra brigade and on roads without dedicated bike / emergency lanes I dont think pushies belong. But after this tour I dare say there will be more lycra on the roads this summer.
