Have a look at what they are having to contend with in France right now....this is not in the future this in right-fucking-now.
Rock climbers, skiers, snow boarders, sky divers and anyone else who enjoys something that might (in the eyes of the nanny state) be remotely dangerous - you're all in for a big shock when the nanny state takes over.

I could smell the burning oil from the valve cover gasket leak. Bike has gone in this morning to be checked (VIN) and hopefully fixed under warranty....

I'm glad I don't ride in Vic....there were so many police cars just driving around looking to fine someone for something....Supafrog wrote:Victoria is taking over the world?????????????Phil wrote:Rock climbers, skiers, snow boarders, sky divers and anyone else who enjoys something that might (in the eyes of the nanny state) be remotely dangerous - you're all in for a big shock when the nanny state takes over.

It's nice not to have to worry too much about the police here....

Nelso wrote:The road we are talking about has no shoulder at all, is very narrow and lots of blind corners. Pretty much the whole thing is double unbroken lines which a car HAS to cross if there is even one bike staying to the left of the lane, unfortunately the pushbike riders that use this road are selfish idiots and don't stay to the left and often ride two, three or even four abreast blocking the entire lane. Countless times we have had to jump on the anchors hard when they block the entire lane and a car is coming the other way or it is a blind corner, or, we have come around a corner to find a car half in our lane that was going around one or more pushbikes coming the other way.Hawksam wrote:Hey I ride push bikes on the road. I ride my GeepeeX on the road I drive cars on the roads i pay rego so the old sook of pushbikes on the roads
is just that a sook, HTFU softies have a nice day
The fact that to go around them you HAVE to break the law or follow them doing 20km/h for 10 km before you get an opportunity to pass should be enough of a reason to ban them from this road but the stupid government decided in their wisdom to drop the speed limit from 100 to 80 and then to 60 and make a small fortune fining drivers who pay for the priveledge to use the road instead. I guess it pays to have someone who rides pushbikes on the road safety commission, eh?
Now if you fit into the same categories as the fuckwits that ride up this way then I hope you don't sook too much when you eventually get taken out. On the other hand, if you are one of the few who don't inconvenience every other road user when you ride, then I suggest you keep the inflamitory comments to yourself or people might assume you are a dick just like the others. People sook about pushbikes for a reason. If they didn't ride like selfish pricks, no-one would complain.

Myself I am not keen to ride on roads without shoulder cos its just tooooo dangerous but thats just me.
as my monika says ride safe and stay upright that goes for motorbike or pushbike.

What insurance or 3rd party to you have for your pushie if you crash and cause a car or bike pile up?
Or If you crash into a pedestrian in your stupid cycle lanes in the city?
