'evening all,
new to the site, but not new to riding. in years past have had a coupla gpx250r's (great little workhorses, clocked the odo on one!), z1000b (fffffffffff-wow!, handled like a plate of jelly in the wind but it went like an alco on pension day), a gsxr250 (no, not an across, loverly little screamer) a nsr250 (in a moment of madness i bought it, became a hole in the tar you pour money into), a xv750 virago which was lovely, but was a total bitch to start (the usual virago can of bolts starter issue) and my current rides (the er and a zook rf900 which is not yet running)
current ride is an '08 er6f, got it in january this year (2011) with 34 k's on it (old stock apparently) at a price i couldnt ignore (5k on road). loved it like a child.
of course, as is want, 3 weeks on, half way around a roundabout, some truck dumped about 20 litres of diesel. 5.30 am on the way to work, comming around the roundabout, next thing i knew i was sliding on my arse wondering what the fcuk happened!. only scratched the right side fairing (thank christ) but broke my left thumb. 6 weeks on compo and 5 weeks off the bike! (facepalm!)
looking forwards to whatever comes

welcome d/f the ol'e diesel on the roudabout trick .. better a slow off than one in the twisties...don't know if you have ridden a RF before but they were one of the most underated bikes around, I loved mine and great for shortarse's 1st thing I do when buying a bike is get a brochure and check the seat height

Only a Motorcyclist knows why a dog rides with his head out the car window
