Goose of the week

Post by mick_dundee »

You can't legislate against stupidity.

A man has been killed after he was struck by the rear tyres of a semi trailer on Phoenix Street, Brunswick at 10.45 last night.

Witnesses have told police that the semitrailer was travelling about five kilometres an hour as it travelled east in Phoenix Street, approaching the intersection of Sydney Road.

Police believe the 23-year-old Brunswick East man was standing on the footpath with his friends when he attempted to cross the road by running under the slow moving trailer.

The man was struck by the rear wheels and died at the scene.

Indeed and I feel sorry for the truck driver who is completely innocent of course but still has this death to haunt him the rest of his days. Also feel sorry for the road crew as it would NOT have been a pretty sight.

Every time my 19 year old son goes out, I pray that he doesn't get up to even fraction of the moronic drunken stupid shit me and my mates thought was fun at his age. And I still can't go to bed untill he gets home, even when its 3 or 4 in the morning :x
