Some say it was bound to happen...

Post by Wattie »

Well,
i didnt have new gear on, i didnt have a new bike, i didnt have new tyres.

But i did fit crash knobs during the week. Thanks Pete from Kaneg!!

Turn 1 at EC got me today.

Due to rider error i dropped the front as it tipped in at about 250km.hr (as per my GPS.)

i stood up and walked towards by bike at 1st. but then my foot was starting to hurt.

Just been to docs, and i have a brken big toe. with a chunk of bone floating. Pin/screw or Not will be 4-6 weeks in cast :x

Not a bad outcome considering the corner i crashed on. bike it not too bad. it would be ready for action in 2 weeks. but i wont.

Pics later. have another doc to visit.

Hold the phone...I hope you and the beast get well soon!.

By the way did the crash knobs help/save the bike?

Broken big toe huh? lets hope that's the most extensive injury you get for a while (if your lucky and and the only one at all) aside from rsi on your elbow from lifting beers :D.

So what's damaged on the bike?

Hopefully it's the first of many Wattie. What I mean by that, is that you walked away from it relatively unscathed. When you are pushing as hard as you do, it's got to happen occasionally. Glad to hear the bike isn't pretzelled either mate.

As for the broken bones, yell at them till they screw or plate it, it halves recovery times from my experiences.

think it was just from hitting the deck. boots are in good condition. just scrapes in the sliders. leathers shagged, helmet shight graze on chin, and gloves took a good slide but help up well as they were designed for Randy DePuniet
