Re: Track Bike
so if its never been started who's to say that the electrics haven't rotted away.. not to mention the possibility of corrosion inside the engine. seems a bit of a gamble for that sort of money eh...
has it got a 50K reserve or somethin??

If it hasn't been correctly stored, every peice of rubber will be cracked and brittle. It could be a very shiny money pit.

Re: Track Bike
Sounds like the seller thinks his bike is worth as much as a desmo rr.

Super over-use of capital letters too!
Pink on the outside, but still green on the inside!

Same same.seiko1 wrote:The RZ500 was a better bike
I raced my RZ500 against the RG500 when they were both new. 85 I think. I'll see if I can find some pics??
I didnt find them better or worse. In fact very close, they had strenths & weaknesses & so did the RZ 500.
But I do remember the RZ500 winning the Castrol 6 Hour
It also won the 4 hour in QLD with a young Mick Doohan riding it.
So your probably right a " better bike"
