Team Green

Post by Stuzrx »

G'day all...Stu is my name,User name Stuzrx.

Have ridden ZRX's for 11yrs,an1100 for 7yrs and almost 150k and a 1200 for 4yr and 66k.I'll give an opinion of both in the ZRX section later.
Been riding since 1976 and have never held a car licence,am very proud of that fact. ;) Have a heavy rigid truck licence though.
Have finally come to this site after having a flier or whatever it was ,on the bike at the Paperclip (Qld Raceway) some time ago.
If you ever see a ZRX with STU59 rego,you know I'm a member .

Cheers for now, expect to see your wave on the road...Stu.
I luurrve the smell of 2stroke in the mornin'.

G'day and Welcome Stu............... Interesting how you say you have never had a car Lic, but you have a HR :? A HR Lic covers a car aswell :? Never knew you could skip the car Lic and go straight to a Heavy Vehicle.

Cheers for the welcomes peoples, hope to meet some of you sometime.
Smithy5....I got my truck licence in 1982 in South Aust, able to drive anything up to but not including semi's.
When I moved to Nth NSW in 1987,HR is what they transferred me to,the planet was a different place back then.
I honestly have never held a car licence....at all.Yeah, the HR covers me for a car,but it is a truck licence, not a car licence.
HR also covers some classes of Bus.
Phew, hope thats cleared up.!! ;)
I only blow in now and then ,so see you then,
cheers,Stu.

Your HR in NSW covers all buses ecxcept the articulated ones. Although you need a separate Authority to carry passengers so it's pretty usless, unless your driving a motor home.
WOW pretty slack rules in SA. You could walk in off the street unlicenced and get straight into a Heavy Rigid :o :o I bet they don't allow that anymore. We have always had to go up in stages in NSW, with waiting periods in between, and it has got tougher over the years. I've had a semi licence for more than 20 years. I wouldn't want to be getting nowadays ;)
