KSRC Insurance Month

Post by Bogan »

Folks,

There's been at least two bikes stolen recently that we know of through posts on here, how about we make December the annual KSRC 'get some farken insurance' month? It wouldn't be smart to ask or tell who has it and who doesn't, but how about we all call Shannons, Insure My Ride, e-Bike, whoever you like, and insure our pride and joys?

Sure, keep it in a triple locked garage with a chain and an alarm and a farken big dog in the yard, but in case of invincible thieves, if it's insured at least you can buy something else if it gets pinched.

You know it makes sense... :kuda: :kuda: :kuda:

It only makes sense if the investment is equaled by the return. It doesn't make sense to pay over $1000 per year on a bike worth $5000 and an excess of $750. I need a better return than that

Insure for sure but only if it represents value(nice bit of poetry) I pay $1000 per year on a car that is worth $40,000, now that makes sense.

Mate, anyone that doesn't at least cover themselves with at least 3rd party damages is an arse. Less than $200 a ear can cover you for thousands if it all goes wrong, believe me.
I understand the value against premium argument and I agree if you can afford to throw it away then fair enough but think about others and the consequences if you have zero cover.

Minimal cover to provide peace of mind

I had an off a couple of weeks ago on the 14, no structural damage but repairs came to over $7000 for the bike and replacement for all my riding gear another $2000...insurance covered everything, no hassles. Don;t have to search for cheap second hand or chinese knockoffs, don;t have to put up with substandard riding gear cause I cant afford to replace my good stuff. Wouldn't be without the insurance. :D
