Probably 1 hour on the job and the other hour or so on the invoice.........

That explains it. They are probably the dearest in Sidders..........

You live in the same suburb as the most honest Kwaka dealer around......... Kelens would not have charged half that....
why not give them a call for a price just for piece of mind.... Oh hang on, that might rub salt in.....

2 1/2 hours for a job like that sounds like a hell of a long time......getting the broken Ezi-outs 'out' may have taken a bit of time I guess..........sometimes snapped bolts come out easy, inside 10 minutes......sometimes they don't. Either way, almost $250 for a couple of 8mm bolts  - that's excessive.....

as far as shop rates are concerned - $90/hour for labour sounds about right to me.....doesn't matter wether its the 1st year apprentice, or the seasoned old dinosaur.

I havent read the whole thread... but being in a time based job, sometimes things unfortunately take longer than expected.... So if they really did take 2.5 hours its fair....
The world is round. It has no point.

Seems a bit exxy to me. Anyone that has used an easyout and broken one will not do it again. Pretty ham fisted if you ask me.

If you cant get it in 2 minutes then destroy it. Progressively larger drills until the threads give way. Alternatively I have drilled the edge of the thread on a 12mm grub screw. Inox for ten minutes and it came straight out. Might only work with grub screws though. Hollow and all that...
