2011 Z1000 S/Ninja 1000
I noticed yesterday in the current issue of AMCN, that there was an artist's rendition or digital mock up (Could have been real, not sure though) of a new Kawasaki model which attracted my attention. It looked like a current Z1000 with a Ninja 650 style front fairing on it. Sort of a similiar thing to my ZRX1200S in as far as, it has a substantial frame mounted fairing and screen.
The blurb read that it could be monikered as either a Ninja 1000R, ala Ninja 250R & Ninja 650R. Or it may be monikered as the Z1000S.
I tried googling it this morning so I could post a pic, but couldn't find anything which showed the pic which was printed in AMCN.
If anyone comes across it could they post it up?

Hey Marty, they have come to their senses and recreated the 9, just like we have been saying they should.Strika wrote:I noticed yesterday in the current issue of AMCN, that there was an artist's rendition or digital mock up (Could have been real, not sure though) of a new Kawasaki model which attracted my attention. That is an interesting little piece of kit.
Looks the goods.
Looks like kawasaki are trying to make an impact this coming year. Lets hope their enthusiasm (funding) is going to spill over into their race bikes aswell.

I really like the new Z1000s, looks like a great alrounder. I still prefer the more Naked version, but i like the bigger/more padded pillion seat (well my missus would) and it would be nice to have a 19Lt fuel tank like the S will.

That's a pretty amazing looking bike!
The tank is up really high(see 3rd picture), but the black background hides it.

I think the tank would be the same, just depends where you mount the fairings... Looks hot from the front!!
