Re: YYYEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAARR!
Some good points there Strika. However the worst part when me & my missus were in the US was our airport experience at vegas when trying to get out of there. Idiot americans wanting to push to the front of the (WRONG) line and telling us we were in the wrong one so thy could get to the front and bitch for half an hour before the service rep politely told them to fuck off and let others who HAD flights that weren't cancelled through.
Arrived at 8am at the airport and with all that chaos and the security checks we barely made a 10:30 flight to Vancouver.
Vegas was great, a little overwhelming, but still great. LA wasn't so bad when you didn't have to go near a car or a bus as the level of traffic there is just insane. However driving from San Fran and coming in via Miami was still pretty cool and one thing i'll remember for a long time to come. Dave, any chance you're going to New York and taking a tour bus to see Niagra Falls? It's worth the trip, just make sure you don't get on one of the super-budget ones, you'll regret it if you did (like us), A tour where English played second fiddle to Mandarin and having Indians doing farting competitions behind us = less than ideal way to spend 2 days crammed in a bus.
Either way, sorry i didn't give you guys many suggestions to begin with, i really had no idea where to start, and you seemed to have a pretty good groundwork already. Looking forward to hearing how it goes whence you two return.

Re: YYYEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAARR!
A quick check in...
San Fran was great. Did Alcatraz, and a city tour. Also had a little wedding anniversary picnic out the front of the Full House house. Hung out at a local bar and beat the locals at Pool. Also ended up getting drunk with some local coppers, funny as...
Flew to Houston via Atlanta
that hurt, especially half pissed.
Having a blast in Houston with some local friends here. I drank $75 worth of scotch in 6 seconds. That hurt the next day. Drove to Austin to watch the University of Texas Longhorns play their 1st home game of the season - awesome. Wait till you see the pics.
Also met Patrice Pike! Will explain later.
Drove from Austin to San Antonio today and did the river walk and saw tha Alamo.
Texas rocks!
Will check in again soon...

Re: YYYEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAARR!
Saw the signs to Waco but cause I didn't have a cigarette lighter, thought we'd skip it....
We didn't hear about the San Fran thing till after we left. Still not sure what happened but heard it was a gas explosion.
Sat in Mission Control at NASA yesterday. Quite interesting seeing the antiquated equipment and the fact that these missions were done using a total of 2mb of computer processing power. Then stood next to a Saturn V rocket - massive!
Went to a baseball game at the Astro Dome. Astros vs Milwaukee Brewers. 20oz tall cans of beer were cool
even Monica had one
It's bloody hot down here. Heading to a friends ranch shortly to ride horses and bikes and shoot guns!
Yeeeeeeee Haaaaarrrrrrr!

Re: YYYEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAARR!
Update:
Spent a day out at a friends ranch. Great spot right between Houston and Austin and about 100 acres. We rode around the property for a bit, then sat in the spa for a bit, then shot hand guns for a bit, then rode again, then had some Petron tequila, some Crown Royal and coke... I could go on
Turns out Monica is quite a good shot... I have since started sleeping with one eye open
Went out for dinner with former NBA player Reggie Slater and we collectively kicked are at Trivia
there was a Aussie flag and a Mt Kosziosko question!
Ate Dove, Deer and the greatest steak ever!
Wifey has bought cowboy boots and looks smokin
Yesterday we drove from Houston to New Orleans (about 6hrs) and crossed some amazing terrain. 20 mile long bridges sitting 8 metres above swamp and marsh land.
Staying in an absolutely amazing 3 level apartment 100 metros of Bourbon street. Can't wait to show you all the pics.
Anyway, gotta go. Don't have Internet access readily available here but will try and update again before we head to NYC.
