Great camera mount... It does the job though.

Shame about the speed limit on that bit of road...I can remember when it was same as any main road...

Mmmmm Scraping the pegs on a ZX10 on the road!!!! 8) If you are not already, then you need to go racing!!! I reckon I ride reasonably quickly, but I have NEVER scraped the pegs on my Rex. (Disclaimer: This, of course, does not include crashing it!!! )

Watching it, you looked like you were riding really slow, which I guess means you are smooth. From what I have seen, a smooth rider can make video footage look like a run to the shops to pick up the milk, when in actual fact, they have left the pack in their wake!!!

That's also an interesting little camera mount and an interesting camera to shoot it with at that. The sound came out great too...........no distortion.

I remember pioneering tank mounted video cameras in about 1993. We strapped a handy cam to the tank of a YZF750 and did a track day at Phillip Island. We used some heavy foam and a cinch strap to secure it. It gave a similiar view as yours did, with vision through the screen as well as of the instruments. We were hanging 1'50"s most of the day and I have about two or three hours worth of footage. I gave the CD to someone and they were going to chop it up to post up, but can't feckin remember who I gave it to!! Anyway, I have it loaded onto a USB flash drive, so I still have a copy. If I ever find someone who is good at this shit, I will get them to edit it and post up some clips. It's actually still reasonable quality, even after converting it from a 10 year old VHS tape which had been viewed repeatedly every time the boys got drunk......

Interestingly, it has one piece of footage on it, which is pretty cool. Ex Aust GP rider Glenn Middlemiss on an early model FZR1000. I think an S or T. Anyway, this thing was stock apart from a pipe and some slicks and what he did with it was insane! I was behind on the YZF, so I got this bit of footage on tape and got to watch it in disbelief live. He lay it over on it's RHS into MG, got on the gas, picked up the front, peeled it over onto it's LHS.........then put the front wheel back down and turned the next left       I was gobsmacked. Yeah, yeah, I know nowadays they all do it, but back then, that was the sort of thing you only saw Doohan, Gardner, Schwantz do! It was pretty fucking cool from where I sat anyway!!

Fuck.....that was a diatribe wasn't it!!! I'm not even pissed!!!

That is pretty standard for Mac Pass, Damo......... The longer Rigid trucks can't make a couple of the hairpin turns, so a three point turn is required..... The truck driver would be saying the same thing "where the fark is the bike going"

thanks. I try to not go too fast on the strights, there is really no point and i value having a licence :D
then i dont need to brake hard for a corner, just back off a bit take the corner. Opposed to doing 150 on the strights and then
15km/h through the corner s :D

The sound came out quite well, even for the inbuilt microphone on the camera itself. However, i did have to tape a sock infront of the
microphone to stop wind noise

Unfortunately that is the biggest road in that part of the world going from south of Wollengong through to Marulan. There are otherways that you can go (mt keira road), but that require something like an extra 70km minimum as well as negotiating Mt Ousley, which is an exceptional deterrent for going along that path on its own.

Damn nice vid mate. :kuda: Wish I'd payed attention earlier. You should be glad i guess that you got that truck on the corner where you could get past. Could have been worse, you could have been stuck behind him.
