Techmate- testimonial

Post by Strika »

Just a heads up for anyone looking for mobile phones and accessories. I recently upgraded to a new HTC desire and finding accessories for it early on has been difficult. When you do find them, they often turn out to be cheap crap. I didn't give up looking even after going through three different covers bought off the web. I eventually came across this site.....

www.techmate.com.au

and found loads of what looked like good quality accessories.

Long story short, I ended up ordering some stuff on Friday night. I fucked up as I did it and ended ordering two seperate orders with two lots of shipping. Half an hour later, I had an email letting me know that the second postage charge had been refunded as they had combined the two!! Nice for a start, now let's see how long it takes to get it.

I ordered it friday night remember. Well, Monday morning about 11.00am the postman arrives with a padded postbag from Techmate!

So, the service was brilliant, with techmate combining without even having to be asked...nice! Then, the delivery was brilliant as it arrived sooner than I could possibly have imagined. Last, but certainly not least, the two items I purchased (two different covers for the phone) were simply the best covers for a HTC Desire that I have seen either on the web or in a shop here on Oz!

So, for anyone looking for this sort of stuff, I would highly recommend Techmate. They are a local Melbourne company, so you are also supporting local industry.

Are they the cheapest? Not really sure, but I certainly reckon I got great value. The covers were maybe a few dollars more than other covers, but the quality is three times as good! 8)

Handsets were rushed to the market to beat iphone 4. I have the Samsung Galaxy S. Same problem for me with accessories!

Plenty of ebay specials, but nothing of good quality. Samsung say the accessories are a week or 2 away. :?

Given time, we will have a better choice of accessories!

I can't decide between the Desire and the Nexus One. The Nexus is winning at the moment.

I can't fault the Desire. I've had it now for a good three months and havn't yet found anything which causes issues. 8) It was plug and play, all apps are easy to install and manage, the battery life is great (after initial charging up period-it has improved over time), there are plenty of free applications to install as well as loads of paid ones. Clarity and reception are great. Where Tatyana's I-phone has poor or no signal, the Desire works fine still.
