EPA noise testing

Post by kevindinho »

Hey guys

Ive heard that some people have been dobbed in to get their bikes/cars tested due to aftermarket exhausts etc being too loud. So whats the go with this? can anyone just dob in anyone else if they feel like it? I'm just asking as i am scared of my neighbour dobbing me in

Cheers
Kev

yep anyone can make a noise complant. Then if the police/rta attend and find that this is the case you can be defected. Also the bike used to have a db reading on it which is now void

See Kev now if you bought the 636 this thread would not exist, your neighbour would stand & stare in awe at what a fantastic piece of machinery you own, instead of wanting to put your nuts in a vice

Do you have the stock pipes still? so as when your asked to take it to get it tested you just swap the stock ones on and of ya go, then swap back when back home and all cleared.

Not really, when tested by the EPA they take photo's of the pipe(s) and note manufacture, this is recorded with the RTA they even take note if baffled etc for future reference with police, neighbours etc. so your glorious plan doesn't work your back to square one if you get caught. I was caught just from a road side RBT.
