you will have a limited range of tyres to suite the big rims. you won't be able to get super sticky rubber.
but Avon do harley tyres in a 21inch front, so they are ok.
Only issue is you wont have big front brakes. The stock ones are ok, but not really race track ready.
I used to have an XR600, with a Dunlop arrowmax rear (140 i think??) amd a 80%road, 20% dirt front. (like a smooth knobly) and used to scrape pegs everywhere.

This thing is registered, so basically I can do a tire change and should be good to go...
I don't know if i'd specifically go and do a track day with it but that could be fun.
I was also reading that the draw back is the small disc on the front but the standard will cut the mustard. Like you said wattie.
