I ran Optimax in my ZZR600. Not that I had much choice back then if you wanted more than vanilla unleaded, as all three servos were Shell .

Never seemed to do any harm at all and it was the fuel of choice in winter, I had issues with normal unleaded and the knacker-freezing temperatures up here.

Two of the servos are BP now, I only use BP Premium or Ultimate in the Hornet.

I always found that running hi octane stuff inthe gpz only made it harder to fire up when its cold.. generally prefer to run mobil 2000 (91) without any dramas but then the 500 donk isn't a high tech revvmeister :)

Yes there was a problem with some vehicles and optimax (cars as well, not just bikes), yes they claim they changed it because of that and yes they did advertise the fact. No-one here has claimed anything more than that.

.....and there's a big difference between healthy scepticism and paranoia. I subscribe to the former, which do you?
If I didn't see it how can it exist you patronising cockhead

Threaten me again like you did in the pm and here in the public forum and I'll report you to the admins.

Threaten me in person and I'll take appropriate action, most likely by calling the cops. Yes I can defend myself if necessary.

In the meantime, take a chill pill and calm down, it's only the internet ferrchristsake, not everyone is going to agree with you

You did not disagree with me, you started casting aspursions (Quote....."and there's a big difference between healthy scepticism and paranoia. I subscribe to the former, which do you?")
I had sad nothing paranoid and nothing different to anyone else and yet you felt the need to start character assasination.
Look in the mirror and see who's paranoid.
As for the chill pill, I just took one and will be fine in a half hour or so.
Run to the Police?..........what happened to MANhood FFS :?

So it's not OK for me to imply that I think you're paranoid, but it's fine for you to drunkenly threaten violence against me at HG? Assuming HG ever goes ahead, and won't it be so much fun for everyone now

As for the manhood comment, this isn't the third grade mate and people in my position cop it bigtime if we retaliate to physical attacks...calling the cops is the easy option.

Anyway, enough of the craptalk, go out and enjoy your birthday and just forget about it OK?

I never actually knew that there was that much difference in fuel types/brands... I have a Shell and a Caltex nearby and I generally always just went with the cheaper option... I got told to run 95 in the bike and that the cheaper green stuff was ok in the car.. :)
