Another ZZR1100 Luggage question.

I'm looking at a hard case Panniers/Top box ste up for my '01 ZZR1100, e.g. GIVI.

Has anyone had a ZZR1100 with this sort of setup? I'm interested if you had difficulties getting the bike onto the centre stand for maint/lube the chain whilst on a trip etc. Especially if the L/H pannier gets in the way of the grab handle under the seat. Also if it affected the bikes handling greatly at all.

I suppose it could just be a matter of removing the pannier every time?

I did't have a Top Box, but I had the Givi Hardcase Panniers on my 01 ZZR1100 with a Ventura Rack. Even fully loaded for a 2 week trip to the Island, I still had no problems getting it onto the centre stand, accessing the grab handle or throwing my leg over and i'm a 5' 6" 80kg weakling......... The only time you know you have them is when you are lane splitting

Hers another pic with the Panniers off........ remember it is just a quick turn of a key to remove the panniers and the frame work remains intact....

Thanks for the information, just what I was after. Good piccies too as I was contemplating keeping my Ventura rack but should I get enough in the tax cheque, I might just go the whole hog. Nice bike, same as mine.

Now all i need now is to find some.....


Anybody got some ZZR1100 hard luggage lying around..........
