Mate i saw some (silkoline) at Supacheap for $14 per can......... grab yourself a bargain...... please dont use the car oil as it will fling everywear including your rear tyre

Don't panic it won't rust overnight...... You can get chain lube at Supercheap auto cheaper than MCAS......... I use Fuchs Silkolene Chain Gel.........

Chain maintenance is something you need to do regularly. And also remove the front sprocket cover every now and then and clean it up. You will get a lot of gunk in there. Best to get an aerosol type lube like silkolene or motul that won't fling off as much. Supercheap sounds like the go, I'm due for a can soon also.

Don't use that, it won't penetrate and may end up flicking all over your tyre making the slippery wet weather
the least of your troubles

Any idea how much a set of stands are for a Ninja 250R and where to get them?

Should make maintenance and oil changes etc a whole lot easier.

Get a rear stand and swingarm spools from Kaneg. He's one of the sponsors here.

As for riding in the rain, you just need to slow down to double the recommended speeds on corners.

Don't stress to much about no centre stand. They are easy enough to lube up without one... You just have to lube what you can see. Then push the bike forward a bit to expose the next dry section... Oh and try and do your lubing just after a ride (when its warm)

Good idea of wet corners is to corner slightly slower than usually but 1 gear higher, this will make the bike less throttle responsive and less likely to spin the rear.
