How fast is a 2009 ZX6R Ninja?

Post by climbatize »

Very fast. I got smoked by one today on a friendly group ride. He had a Termignoni slip-on and a pipe eliminating one cat. Killed my ZX-7R.

Obviously with the twisties it really depends on the rider and how hard/to the limit one can push, but this was in a dead straight line.. In a straight line, as long as you are in the higher end of the rev range, it's just the bike.

ZRX, ZX10, ZX12, ZX14. Any of them would leave the six for dead.

Yep, the six has about 110 hp stock the zx7r has 105 hp.
The six weighs about 185 kg the zx7r weighs about 205 kg.
Your gunna get smoked of the lights every time, but wait for the sweepers, the zx7r is very planted and will handle as good as anything on the road.. as long as it doesn't get too tight.. :-)

Absolutely Dave..........fast open high speed sweepers awesome but i know i struggle in the tight stuff(maybe thats just the rider  ) but yeah zx7r's still go ok vs the modern day versions(6r's, 10r's etc). :)
