Is it just me . . . . OR wot ?

Post by ZXRobyn »

When I return home from a trip or when leaving for a trip I always try to wash n polish the bike . . . . as ya do! ;)
Well, I wanna know, is it just me . . . . Or wot?

Do YOU get the shits when you find more chips in the paintwork, new ones and pretty good ones at that ..... Grrrrr far out thats annoying

I justify it tho . . . . and take comfort in the fact that it means I'M RIDING !!! :D :D :D :D :D :D ;) ;)

Yeah, it shits me too. I have a lot of stone chips on the headlights. I've thought about replacing them (especially now I have most of the bike spruced up a little and I'm getting more done), but on the other hand, they'll just get chips again, as the bike is ridden, not left in the garage.

So I get what you're saying, but I reckon it's just one of those things that happen when you're a rider (as opposed to a coffee shop poser), so think of the chips as proof of your hardcore-ness

I'm always too tired to clean the bike straight away. I'm lucky to get everything put away.

Stone chips are unavoidable if you use them. Just think of them as street cred.

Personally, I think of more chips as an oppertunity to add more stickers to the bike ;)

I don't have time to clean mine - and next time it comes out of the shed I'm off riding again. I figure the dirt is covering the stonechips. :P

Anyway, when the chips start to join up I'll just repaint it.

Mine has been washed twice this year!! It's been spoiled, and yes, stone chips are alas unavoidable.

Seriously get past it and become hard core, if your getting chips you have to be at least following well 8) and you should be getting closer  ;)
