Putting a price on parts

Post by Greenblood »

Just looking for advice on putting a price on parts from a wrecked bike.
What is the method you guys use to put a reasonable price on a part so that you arn't ripping someone off
& that you are not giving the stuff away? I need all money I can get for the Pirate replacment.

Maybe have a look at what stuff is going for on Ebay, but then don't listen to me I've still got a bike full of ZX6 bodywork that I'm trying to get rid off (stupid special edition paint scheme)

I think wreckers used to use 50% of retail, but they often sit on parts for a long time too.

most of the parts you are trying to sell is on ebay joe, grab the prices from there. or ask neville for the rrp and then take off what you think depends on age and condition.

Metros tend to charge 50% of new, so unercut them comfortably and you've still got a fair price. That said, some things that are in demand you'll be able to ask a bit more for.
